In September 2015 an earthquake shook British politics to its foundations; Jeremy Corbyn, a lifelong socialist, was elected to the head of the Labour Party. Alex Nunns; author of The Candidate and Simon Hannah; author of A Party With Socialists In It, talk us through the history and lead up to this pivotal moment and plot Jeremy Corbyn’s improbable path to power.

Simon Hannah is a writer and political activist. He is the author of A Party with Socialists in It (Pluto Press / Left Book Club 2018). His work has been featured in Open Democracy and New Left Project. He is currently researching the municipal socialist movement of the 1980s at Kings College. He is an active trade unionist and a member of the Labour Party.
