Join us to flagship launch of Queer Footprints: A Guide to Uncovering London’s Fierce History by Dan Glass at London’s leading counter-cultural and LGBTQIA+ archive, Bishopsgate Institute, where the book was also researched and written.
The night will kick off with an in-conversation between Dan Glass and Lady Phyll, founder of UK Black Pride, Europe’s largest celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern-descent; Ted Brown, founding member of the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) and a representative of representative of OUTbound, Transport for London’s (TfL) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT+) Staff Network Group. The conversation will be chaired by performer, activist and Queer Tours of London – A Mince Through Time guide, Dani Dinger.
This will be followed by performances (tba), nibbles and DJ sets from Nite Dykez and DJ Ritu.
DJ Ritu is an Award-Winning London Disc-Jockey & Trailblazing Broadcaster. They are the voice behind the UK’s definitive global music show, A World in London.
Nite Dykes is a monthly nite for LGBT womxn. A brand spanking new lez-fest from the powerhouses behind Resis’dance, Faggamuffin Bloc Party and Goldsnap: Gin and Mica.
Expect: RnB, Afrobeats, UKG, UK Funky, Gay anthems, House classics, Soul, Disco, Motown and Pop.
