Panel discussion featuring Dave Randall
Dave will take part in a panel discussing the role art can play in achieving peace. The discussion is one of a series of events at the Essex Book Festival to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.
Dave Randall is the former guitarist of Faithless, Sinead O’Connor, Dido and many others. His new book Sound System: The Political Power of Music is a book of raves, riots and revolution. It looks at examples from Beethoven to Beyoncé and poses the question: how can we make music serve the interests of the many, rather than the few?
After the panel discussion Dave will be available to chat and sign copies of his book.
