Global class struggle & workers inquiries
Join Pluto Press, the Wildcat book series and a host of activists and authors from across the world for How We Organize! Radical lessons from workers’ struggles around the world, a series of webinars discussing the innovative new tactics, strategies, and objectives of worker organizing and independent unions today.
Rumours of the death of the global labour movement have been greatly exaggerated. Rising phoenix-like from the ashes of the old trade union movement, workers’ struggle is being reborn from below by workers themselves. This webinar will discuss a new book by Robert Ovetz on the importance of the workers’ inquiry, critically assessing this new cycle of global working class struggle, looking at workers’ movements in China, Mexico, the US, South Africa, Turkey, Argentina, Italy, India and the UK.
Workers’ inquiries are one of the most innovative tools for worker organizing today. This webinar will provide an introduction to workers inquiries and how to conduct them.
The speakers are Anna Curcio, Gifford Hartman, and Robert Ovetz.
