Partisan Collective, Manchester
Partisan is really pleased to be talking to Amelia Horgan online as she introduces her new book, Lost in Work: Escaping Capitalism (Pluto Press, June 2021).
Amelia Horgan has written for various publications including Tribune, the Guardian and VICE.
Asking the questions on the night is Emma, who is an activist-permaculture gardener-researcher-carer from Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA), interested in care ethics, particularly in cross-cultural contexts, migration justice and anticarceral praxis. She completed a PhD on the afterlives of slavery, spiritual pilgrimage, and historical trade relations in contemporary North-West Africa, through reflection on the experiences of Senegalese migrant care workers on the margins of the state in Morocco. She is now pursuing training in critical mental health social work in Manchester, UK.
You can grab a copy of the book from the good people at Pluto Press here.
