Minqi Li is a Professor of Economics at the University of Utah. He received a PhD in Economics from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2002.
His research focuses on: (1) the long-term movement of investment profitability and its impact on economic performance; (2) global financial imbalances with a focus on the Chinese and the US economy; (3) energy and environmental issues. All three issues are connected by a common theme: long-term cyclical movements and secular trends of the current world system.
