Special launch event and exhibition at Foyles
Meet renowned political artist and activist Peter Kennard during a rare retrospective exhibition presented by Futurecity in the Gallery at Foyles, to coincide with the publication of Peter Kennard: Visual Dissent, his new monograph published by Pluto Press.
In this extraordinary new exhibition, Peter Kennard opens the window wide onto his work and processes across an indefatigable 50-year career, harnessing the language of photomontage to communicate directly with the public. Including layered posters, historical timelines and even a display of Kennard’s montage tools—which he selected himself—this exhibition is a unique opportunity to meet the artist surrounded by his own work, and to hear him discuss his images’ sustained power in inciting debate and debunking myths.
The event will include a short film screening, a Q&A and a book signing.
