Launch event in collaboration with London Young Labour
Join us on Wednesday 26th June as we hear from Vijay Prashad and other speakers about the socialist struggle in the Global South which he explores in his new book ‘Red Star Over the Third World’. Prashad traces how the October Revolution, which proved that the masses could not only overthrow autocratic governments, but also form an opposing government in their own image, was an inspiration from Cuba to Vietnam to China to South Africa and beyond.
London Young Labour, in conjunction with Pluto Press, will be discussing the themes of this book with a panel of activists, academics and authors to be announced shortly. Venue capacity is limited so please register here on eventbrite: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/lyl-presents-red-star-over-the-third-world-tickets-63442788087
The event will start at 7pm followed by a Q&A and there will be an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of ‘Red Star Over the Third World’.
