The British government time and again plays with the lives of vulnerable people seeking safety in our country. This week, Priti Patel has announced the dystopian plan to send people seeking asylum to Rwanda, a cruel and unnecessary measure. And as people flee Ukraine to find safety across Europe, Britain’s ruling class refuses to welcome them with respect and solidarity.
This is all done to distract us from from their own corruption and criminality, and to score dirty political points.
Here are a list of books that look at migration, borders and asylum. We hope it will prove useful for everyone working to end the capricious cruelty of the neoliberal class.
