Shared Living on a Shared Planet with author Anitra Nelson
New York book launch at the famous Bluestockings radical bookstore.
Activist-scholar Anitra Nelson talks about her new book Small is Necessary: Shared Living on a Shared Planet, which advocates low impact living via smaller andeco-collaborative housing, such as cohousing. Using international case studies, including New York, and personal experiences of collective living, Anitra speculates on urban futures where sustainable neighborhoods and grassroots democracy develop outof well-connected and productive neighborhoods, i.e. where ‘alternative’ becomes mainstream.
