Dave Randall is the former guitarist of Faithless, Sinead O’Connor, Dido and many others. He will be talking about his new book Sound System: The Political Power of Music. It is a book of raves, riots and revolution. It looks at examples from Beethoven to Beyoncé and poses the question: how can we make music serve the interests of the many, rather than the few?
